Colin has been a biologist with Alabama Power Company since 2024. His duties include working with threatened and endangered species, and other fish and wildlife across the state. He completed his B.S. at Auburn University in 2008 and earned a M.S. from Mississippi State in 2018. Colin’s work with threatened and endangered species has included American eel abundance and passage studies, rush darter and trispot darter monitoring, flattened musk turtle tracking, Black Warrior waterdog surveys and eDNA sampling, red-cockaded woodpecker habitat maintenance and population studies, white fringeless orchid surveys, Indiana and northern long-eared bat habitat surveys, and gopher tortoise line transect distance sampling. Colin works with collaborative partnerships in the state including the Alabama Chapter of the American Fisheries Society, the Alabama River and Streams Network, and the Darter Junior Board. Colin lives in Helena, AL with his wife. He enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, fishing, hunting, and reading.

Wildlife Health Program Coordinator, Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries

Olivia started as the wildlife health program coordinator with the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) in July 2024. Her duties include the coordination of surveillance and management of wildlife diseases, including Chronic Wasting Disease and White-nose Syndrome. She completed her B.S. at the University of South Florida in December 2020 and earned a M.S. in Wildlife Sciences From Auburn University in May 2024. During her master's, her research included evaluating the prevalence of leprosy in Mexican long-nosed armadillos of Alabama and a human dimensions study of Alabama residents' tolerance and perceptions of armadillos. Since starting with ADCNR, Olivia has worked to train staff in wildlife diseases, build out reporting mechanisms for wildlife health issues, and collaborate with state and federal partners in wildlife disease surveillance. Olivia lives in Wetumpka, AL with her husband, three dogs, cat, snake, and rabbit. When she is not working, she enjoys crafting, hunting, running and reading.

Logan has a B.S. In Wildlife Ecology and Management from Auburn. He oversees the management of the Charles D. Kelley-Autauga WMA, William R. Ireland-Cahaba River WMA, and Shelby SOA. Logan is passionate about habitat management, especially prescribed fire. One of the things he enjoys the most about his job is that he can make a difference on the ground through various habitat management activities.

Logan has been a part of the ACTWS since 2019. He lives in Marbury with his wife and son. He enjoys spending his spare time hunting, birding, seeing Alabama’s natural beauty with his family, and working on the family farm.
